The WWII Veterans Memorial Trail is a multi-use path supporting varied modes of transportation. Please use care when interacting with other users.
Stop at all stop signs: Each trail crossing is different, and pedestrians do not necessarily have the right of way at all intersections.
Remember to yield: cyclists yield to pedestrians, and everyone yields to equestrians. Cyclists should dismount near horses.
Keep right, pass left: Cyclists and faster trail users should slow and announce themselves when passing, giving as much room as possible.
Dogs must be leashed: Owners are responsible for the collection and disposal of waste.
No littering or dumping: Pack in, pack out. Public trash receptacles are not available on most of the trail so please plan accordingly.
No alcohol, illegal substances, camping, or open fires.
Stay on the trail: Adjacent land is generally private property.
These guidelines are consistent with Massachusetts state law and trail etiquette recommendations. Local regulations may be adopted in the future.
Benches and informational kiosks can be found throughout the trail.
